CRM 4 Test Bench Servers

  While I am again attempting to get the prerequisites installed for CRM on a new test bench server with its own SQL 2005 SP3 install, I want to know if upgrading CRM 3 to CRM 4 on this separate server would in any way effect the CRM 3 installation on the existing server.  While I doubt it would I am just not familiar enough with the product - esp. in light of the use of new AD objects with CRM 4.  Thank you.
