Cannot Activate Windows 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi - I upgrade my eMachine from Windows Vista to Windows 7 back in February but did not touch it until just this week.  Then I cannot use my product key to activate Windows 7 anymore due to the 30-day restriction.  The error code is 0xC004C008.  Please kindly help!

  • Hello szlya,

I am not sure if I understand what you mean by "due to the 30-day restriction".  It true you have 30 day grace period in which to Activate but you can still activate after those 30 days.

Since the Windows that you are using is a OEM System Builder license, you will need to Activate by Phone. Activating over the internet will not work.

What happens when you Activate by Phone?

    Thank you,

    Darin MS
