  • Hello Silky,

In case you want to export more than 10,000 records from CRM Online or then you need to use ModifyMaxExportTool which you can get from the CRM Online support team. You will have to raise a ticket with them to get this done.

To receive a copy of CRM 2011 Online ModifyMaxExportTool you can open a case with Microsoft and request the tool or contact PowerObjects.

  • Hi Abhishek,

Thanks for you answer. ModifyMaxExportTool property is alreday set to maximum records. The issue I am facing is , when I download the records including all the columns, the size of excel file increase to more than 500Mb. Since there are lacs of record, the excel file crashes.

Thus, I want a better way to achieve it. I also wrote batch process to retrieve the data using retrievemultiple and added the data to a list. but writing tje data back to excel from list is tedious task as each entity includes more than 150 columns. Please suggest any other way.

    Thanks,

    Silky

  • Hello Silky,

I found out a project on codeplex "Microsoft Dynamics CRM Bulk Update and Export tool" which may suit your exact needs. However this only supports CRM 4.0. Did some more research and found that a blog has been written for Using Bulk Data Export tool of CRM 4.0 with CRM 2011. I am providing both the links below.

    I hope this helps you!

  • So if you're taking data away from CRM Online, MS will offer you your database, since it's your data.  So that's the fastest way to get it.  ;)

If you're looking to have that data also used in another system, Scribe is likely your best, most reliable bet.  It won't have record limits, and you can push your data directly into the other system, instead of dealing with large excel files.

  • Silky,

Actually Export Import is recommended, but assuming you have huge data, then you need another tool such as SSIS or Scribe.

    Thanks.
