MS CRM 2011 - Outlook Diagnostic Trace file RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a user in an oversease office that is having problems Tracking and email in Outlook.

We are running MS CRM 2011 with the CRM and Outlook Client at version 5.0.9688.1533.

What I want to do is run the Diagnostic tool and produce a trace file so I can see why the Track is failing

However, I check the box to start the Trace file but I can not find the Trace file being produced. It looks likes nothing is being produced even though I have checked every option on the "Sychronization Troubleshooting" screen.

Is there a step that I am missing?

Has anyone come across this problem before?

  • Hi Blidski,

Can you check when you enable Trace, if the registry key changes? Maybe a permission issue is causing the registry key not to change. You can manually enable the trace option via the registry by changing the TraceEnabled to 1.

for more information on how to enable trace manually read the following KB:

    Hope this helps
