  • That's the problem.

An entity that is 'owned' by the organisation, does not support the 'assign' or 'share' functionality as the owner is the organization, not a user.

You will need to re-create the entity and set ownership to 'user' if you want that functionality.

  • Hi Varun,

This is not possible, not to a queue anyway. You can look into creating a associated task for your custom entity and assigning the task to the queue instead.

You should still be able a custom entity to another user. On the entity form, click on actions > sharing.

  • Hi Varun,

Is your custom entity's ownership 'user' based or 'organisation' based?

  • No, a custom entity can't be assigned to a queue, only to a specific user. The closest you can get to this functionality is to do the following:

    1. EntityX (custom entity).
    2. Create task for EntityX, call it 'please process me'.
    3. Assign task to Queue/User.

You can create a manual workflow for EntityX which will create a task and assign that Task to a particular queue.

You may also want to look into using views instead of queues.

  • Views may be shared, but are not configurable through roles. It is simple enough to create a view however and share it with the appropriate team.
