It appears that windows never actually activated, please attempt activating again, either by using the activation wizard (type activate windows in the search menu) or activate by phone. If activating with the wizard fails attempt the phone activation.
Activate by phone.
1. Type "slui 4" in the start menu search box, hit enter
2. Select country or region
3. Dial the number, DO NOT select any menu options, just wait and a person will pick up.
4. activate by phone.

carl, did waht you've told me... all i got, after frustrating waiting on the phone and finally speaking with a supervisor is that they're telling me that my key is blocked my microsoft...
now i'm being told to call another number... WGA department?
what do i have to get this resolved?

Now that was just rude...
Gabby at "WGA" department was courteous at first... but told me that i have no way of using this product code and that i have to discuss this with my vendor, Newegg.com.
i asked her to give me an e-mail so i can discuss this with newegg.com... she cannot.
reason she told me was that this was installed to many times...?
then i ask her, if i purchase a full retail at best buy and install on my pc, and i have to reinstall this due to technical issues such as virus, hdd failure etc, then i will not be able to use it due to it being installed too many times... her response was "correct"...
i was a bit confused... i told her that from this moment, i am monitoring this conversation due to the outrageous comment she is making... and she hung up on me...
Microsoft WGA just hang up on people?
ridiculous!
