  • Question

  • Hi there,

I am attempting to connect to the home pc, from my laptop, which is in the same house, and same wi-fi network - everything has been working perfectly until today when I tried to connect to the home desktop and receive:

    "Cannot Connect"

    Error Code: 00000000, 0

In my live mesh notifier, it says live mesh remote desktop is availible for the desktop.

How can I solve this problem?

  • Since it worked fine before, and the error just happened, you might try the following;
    1. Close Live Mesh on the remote machine and then start it again and sign in.
    2. Reboot the remote machine

If either work, great. If not, a bug report would be the way to go. See this post for how to collect the logs on the remote machine and file the bug report:

  • I encounter this problem constantly too!

If the remote machine is not available, it is meaningless to try to restart live mesh and reboot, I hope a sound fix will be issued soon, thanks!

  • Here's my "Me too".

Trying to connect from work to home.

Everything worked perfectly until Tuesday morning, when I started getting the Error Code: 00000000, 0.  Reboot and relogin do nothing on either machine.

I know nothing has changed on my home pc.  I don't know if anything changed on the work LAN.

  • Unfortunately, the error is server side.

It happens randomly for some people and all the time for others.

And, unfortunately, I doubt that it will be addressed as the problem really ramped up as the back end went through changes in prep for Wave 4 which has not yet been released to beta.

When Wave 4 of Windows Live is released, the existing Live Mesh infrastructure will likely be retired, though nothing has been announced yet, but they announced yesterday that Wave 4 will be released to beta, today.
