How to sync a a folder on a network drive - an alternative? RRS feed

  • Question

  • My biggest need is to sync folders on my Work PC and Home PC, but since Live Mesh doesn't allow you to sync folders on a network drive (which is *all* of my folders at work), it's not very useful. FolderShare has the same limitation.

If I could use a 3rd party program (like Beyond Sync?) to sync a network folder (Folder A) to a folder on my hard drive (Folder B), could I then just use Live Mesh to sync Folder B to all my devices? Would that work?

Answers

  • Sure - since you would then have a local folder to sync from. The data would be kept in sync between the PC and the network Share and then Live Mesh would be making that available to your Mesh.
