Hey Guys.
I’m experiencing the same issue as a lot of people with File Conflicts / “The group or resources is not ect”. I have read many post to include FAQ and somewhat understand why it is happening but I am unable to find a solution on how to fix errors. Can some on point me in the right direction because many post are very vague on this issue. Thanks in advance!

Hello Trip,
Did you study the FAQ: How do I resolve file conflicts?
I think The section at "The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation" explicitely describes how to handle your problem.
Please do not hesitate to let us know where you are unclear?

Theo,
Thanks for your reply. As I stated, i have read the FAQ but the steps they gave me to fix the errors did not work. Plus i have about 50 files that has the error. Is there a program i can run to fix this?

I would start with the FAQ How to check all the drives in your server for errors.
If a disk is faulty, you could also take a look into the servers event log, if there are ntfs related errors listed.

Hey !
I don't know if after 4 years you'll answer but ...
When I execute the cmd I have an error message : WHScleanup.cmd is not a valid Win32 application !
Note that the log shows the file corrupted but the cmd looks empty !
Thanks

Hi,
where did you put the file too? As in the guideline to the C: drive of the server and run it on the server? I just downloaded and executed successfully on a WHS v.1.
If you instead used a share on the server, you might have been caught by the faulty junction, since this is often what you get, if you try to open a linked file from storage pool, which is no longer accessible.
Could also be, that you have other hardware issues, i.e. memory fault.
