Windows Genuine Advantage - Validation Issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • This is not an acceptable solution to the problem as that option to actiavte was always there. Being a IT tech and having sometimes to reinstall windows on more than one computer at a time and then activate over the phone is a waste of time and money for my clients and myself.

It has been seven months now and the problems is happening still. Please can you deal with this and get the online service backup and running.

  • vodabone,

Thank you for visiting the Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) program forum. I will attempt to assist you. I have split your post. Keeping in mind that Windows Product Activation unrelated to Windows Validation issues, are considered off topic for this forum. If you are having a Validation related issue, please choose one computer to start with and do the following..

By clicking the link below, you will download the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool (MGADT).  Then click the Run button. Then click the Run button again. Then click the Continue button to perform the diagnostic. The Windows tab should show, click the Copy button to paste your report to the clipboard.  Then paste the report into a New Post on this Forum by adding a post in it and pressing Ctrl V (to paste the text). Clicking the OK button will clear the Diagnostic window. Here is the download link:

    3. Or, does it have the computer manufacturer's name in black lettering?

    4. Please provide the customer scenario you are experiencing.

    5. DO NOT post the Product Key.

Not sure what to look for, see this page to reference your COA:
