What Does a Repair Do?

I had to do a repair on CRM Server 2011 (Control Panel->Program & Features->Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server 2011). I had previously installed Rollup 6 and Rollup 7. So I am wondering if any of the fixes from those rollups are being changed back by doing the repair? Should I reapply the rollups? I hope not because I think the issue might have been caused by the rollups in the first place.

Hi,

The repair option only repairs if any minor issues in your CRM 2011 Server. It will not roll back any roll ups. So your roll ups 6 and 7 still will be there.

So you don't have to re apply these roll ups, as the repair will not bring your CRM 2011 server to initial setup. Repair also replaces any accidentally deleted core framework files.

There is rollup 8 in the market. Please try that roll up 8 and see whether that fixes issues.
