Error in ADFS configuration on Windows Server 2012 RRS feed

    Hi 

    I am trying to setup IFD for Dynamics CRM 2011 installed on Windows Server 2012.  

    As the initial step of configuring ADFS, I am facing the error in the second step of ADFS configuration where ADFS tries to Install Windows Internal Database. (Attaching the Screenshot below)

    Event Viewer says "The Windows component "Windows-Internal-Database" was successfully installed." but the Configuration setup fails at that point.

    Can any one please help me in this regards?

    Hi all,

    I just managed to resolve above issue with the help of a post by "Mylo" on this link http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/0011411e-b76d-4a7c-bd6c-bb5a21648c67/ad-fs-20-configuration-failed

    The above error was due to already installed "Windows Internal Database" as a server feature. Solution was just to uninstall "Windows Internal Database" feature from Server Manager as ADFS will install it by itself during the configuration.

    But I would definitely like to make a point here, if it makes sense then, Microsoft should handle this type of scenario and by pass the Installation of WID if already installed so that end user don't have face this weird type of error with very less details to work upon.
