    What driver will get rid of the exclamation point on the PCI Simple communications controller in device manager?

    Usually it's a modem, but you can research the exact component based on the PCI ID information.
    I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)

    From normal installations of Windows 7 machines on HP computers I remember that should be the HECI driver for the Intel AMT Host Embedded Controller Interface. Sometimes part of the Chipset drivers, for some hardware also a separate download.
