Alerts back but old problem of alerts before alerts set back too RRS feed

    A long time ago there was the problem that if you set an Alert in a thread you got e-mail alerts for posts that had been sent to the thread *before* you set the alert. This was to put it mildly a nuisance.

    For a long time this undesired feature vanished and things worked as they should, but now that you have cured the problem that Alerts had stopped coming, these Alerts for posts earlier than you want is back.

    Coincidence? I doubt it.

    Please do yet another fix so that in this respect also we are back to what we had before the problems.

    When I set an Alert I've already read the posts that are already in the thread. I don't want to get e-mail telling me about them.

    Known issue, we have a bug on this. We cannot easily and consistently repro the the problem though. We have had a LOT of alerts issues over the past couple of weeks that we have initially addressed, but this created a back flow in the queue sending alerts, catching up so to speak. So the whole alerts back end was out of whack recently. If you can consistently still repro this (today), can you let us know? Thanks
