There are some actions stops a machine went to sleep, find those using windows service?

Hi,
Windows service need to be created, which is used to monitor the background processes such as long keypress, Ctrl + L pressed in Acrobat because these actions prevent a machine went to sleep.
Anyone help me to sort of this?
