Inaccessible boot device error Windows 2000 RRS feed

  • Question

  • While I was shutting down my computer and the power cable to my laptop slipped off accidentally.  Afterwards, I receive a stop error inaccessible boot device and cannot start the computer. I am sure the power cable accidentally coming off caused the problem.  I can't boot the computer at all or even boot to DOS.  Can I purchase a boot disk or does someone know how to create one?  Since I can't boot my computer, I need to find another way to create a boot disk.  I do have two other computers; one with Windows XP and another with Windows Vista.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
