product key already in use (windows vista) RRS feed

  • i have problems to activate my version of vindows vista home premium, my laptop is an acer product, it was bought by my brother in italy 3 years ago, but i'm in morocco, i was obliged to reinstall my windows due to system problems, when i tried to activate it i got this message "product key already in use", this is not the first time that i reinstall windows, during the 3 years i've reinstalled it more than 5 times, and each time the activation was successful, but this time was different i think that the problem is due to that i've deleted the partition contaning the system and i've created 2 partitions from it.

    i tried the activation by phone but no reply.

    i hope u can help me with this

    To activate by phone, click on the Start button
    in the Search box, type
    SLUI   4
    and hit the Enter key
    Select your country, and follow the instructions - you will get an automated service, do NOT respond when asked which service you require - this should force an operator to pick up, who can assist you.

  • It looks (forgive me if I'm wrong) as if you're in Portugal or the UK? (and your installed language is Italian?)

    If that is the case, then try this number  -  800 849 102 for Portugal

    If you're not in Portugal/UK, then you may have a problem with your system clock and regional settings - you are currently set to use GMT (which time Zone are you actually in?)

    You  should reset the Time Zone properly, then adjust your system time properly, and try internet activation again.

    if not, then try this one

    They are both really for Volume activation, but they should be able to assist you.
