Cannot Load Live OneCare, Error Code 0014

Tried loading Live OneCare on new computer with VISTA. Error code 0014; help messages where of little use. All non-MS protection software removed. Contact support asked for the 20 character product code, but that required the software to be installed (not a very helpful approach to solving the problem). I've bought the product, cannot install it nor can I return it for refund because the seal is broken; now I'm stuck. Please help.Sunday, March 15, 2009 5:35 PM

Check that your computer date and time are set correctly. Also see this Microsoft Knowledge Base article to troubleshoot the 0014 error - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/930157 If installation does not succeed post back and I will help you reach support.

With regard to Method 2 in the Knowledge Base article that JimR1 cited, note that enabling the “Automatically detect settings” option has also been reported as a solution.
