Live mesh not auto sync in X64 Windows server 2008 RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi,
I use the live mesh to sync the Windows server 2008 and Windows 7.
But recently I found the issue is that when I backup my SQL Server 2008 Database in Windows server 2008 into the Sync folder, the Live mesh will not automaticly upload to the cloud, and I have to backup the database outside the Sync folder , then move the backup file into the Sync folder, only that the Live mesh works. But the weird things is it works fine in Windows 7.
Please give me the advice to fix that. Thanks

  • LIve Mesh is not supported on Windows Server of any flavor, though it will work. Since you are able to kick start it into uploading the changed database file(s) with a workaround, I'd not consider a reinstall of Live Mesh, which would be the typical thing to try when files are no longer synchronizing with a folder or machine.
However, you may want to submit logs with a bug report in case there is a bug causing your issue.
How to Submit Bugs and Live Mesh Logs

Note that you probably won't get a response to the bug report, though. It will be transferred to the internal system to be assigned to the appropriate development group.
