Anyone install Vail on an Inspiron Zino HD? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I can't get the right sata drivers to work with this and it's preventing my external esata cabinet from recognizing all 4 drives loaded in it.  Ultimately I've had to rip Vail out and go back to a linux distro.

  • Have you asked Dell about drivers? Have you tried installing another Windows operating system to see if you can get your eSATA enclosure working with that?

  • Worked under Vista 64.  Vail Beta 1 didn't like my hardware drivers.

  • You will need Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7 drivers. The Windows Server 2008 R2 drivers are preferred, but Windows 7 is the same basic kernel, so drivers for that OS should also work.
