Renewal takes effect on the date that your current subscription expires and that it can take up to 24 hours for the subscription status to be updated in OneCare if you are renewing within 30 days of expiration and 5 days if renewal was performed between 90 and 30 days before expiration.

     You can try the following:

    • Check your PC date and time.
    • Check your subscription status by logging in with your subscription LiveID at http://billing.microsoft.com
    • Confirm that this is the same LiveID shown to be the Subscription ID in OneCare - Help/About…
    • Open OneCare and click "Check for Updates" to have OneCare check for updated credentials

If your subscription is correctly shown at the Billing site, but incorrect in OneCare and your PC date and time are correct, please contact support.

Open IE and in Tools/Internet Options, verify that your language setting is correct for your country.

If it is not, click "Add" to select your language and country combination from the list.

Make that selection the default. It should appear at the top of the list.

Remove or demote other entries that are not appropriate for your country.

What is showing as US? Is your Billing profile at http://billing.microsoft.com showing US or the payment form for providing credit card information? If the latter, the IE language setting should resolve it. If the former, please contact support.

I successfully found a way and renewed it in Canadian dollar on monday, like it was a second buy, after trying for an hours, but now it still doesn't show as renewed on my computer...  IS THIS NORMAL??

    thx

  • In my standard response to this issue, I've highlighted one line. Based on your other reply, I suspect that you didn't renew, but purchased a new subscription with a new LiveID. If so, you need to uninstall OneCare from the PC, reinstall by downloading from http://onecare.live.com and activating the installed copy by clicking subscribe in OneCare and signing in with the new LiveID used to purchase the new subscription.

If your subscription to OneCare shows incorrect or expired in OneCare

    • Check your PC date and time.
    • Check your subscription status by logging in with your subscription LiveID at http://billing.microsoft.com
    • Confirm that this is the same LiveID shown to be the Subscription ID in OneCare - Help/About
    • Open OneCare and click "Check for Updates" to have OneCare check for updated credentials

If your subscription is correctly shown at the Billing site, but incorrect in OneCare and your PC date and time are correct, please contact support.
