screen autorotate depending on whether keyboard attached RRS feed

  • Question

  • On the Surface series and other tablet laptop hybrids, is there a way in Windows 8.1 to set the screen to only autorotate when the keyboard is not attached and to stay locked in landscape when it is attached? If not, will there be a way to do this in Windows 10? This seems like the most logical way for it to work, but I can't find an option for it.

  • Hello,

For the surface specifically, I'd ask in the Surface forum on Microsoft Community.

Otherwise, I'd ask in the Windows Insider Program forum on Microsoft Community.

As the Microsoft Community is on a different platform, we cannot move the question for you.

Once there, click on Participate near the top of the screen, and select 'Ask a Question' or 'Start a Discussion':
