Failing Genuine Advantage Test RRS feed

  • hi all,

    I had a bad copy of office when I bought the computer. IT has just been found to be "not genuine", so I bought a copy of office ultimate 2007.

    I uninstalled the previous office, then installed this one no problems.

    However, the "not genuine" star i still here and when I go to activate the new office ultimate it says the product has already been activated - can anyone give me a bit of advice?

    PS: I've looked under add/remove programs and I can only see one copy of office (the ultimate version). Also, I have tried deleting data.dat and that didn't work.

    PPS: I run windows xp

    As you can see there are still two versions of Microsoft Office installed. Currently Office Enterprise 2007 was installed with a now blocked Volume Licensing Key "VLK" and Office Ultimate 2007 is not activate. First and foremost you need to uninstall Office Enterprise. Reboot the computer and try to activate Office Ultimate. Please let us know if this works.
