File lost while downloading Windows 8.1 update from Microsoft Store

  Hey guys,

  Yesterday (12/7/2014) I download Windows 8.1 update from Microsoft Store. When I download the update halfway, then I notice some of my personal files have lost, as well as my sibling files. So I cancel install the update. What I want to ask is is it possible to get back all the files? Or can I get back those files from Windows.old folder after I update to Windows 8.1?
