  • Question

  • If I buy the above product, unused, from a military person or their dependent, can I successfully activate the software if I do not have a valid military ID?

  • Yes you can.

I bought 2 copies of it for my non military family and they got onto it without a problem. And to be blunt with you, nowadays military id is their name, rank, and either full or last 4 of their SSN. Date of birth sometimes too, it all depends on what form your trying to fill out or what you're trying to do. But I'm convinced you activate it as you would a standard edition.

Hoping to find another for myself this time since I bought a new laptop and it needs it.

  • In regards to the Military Appreciation version.  To my knowledge it is reserved to Active Duty Military due to its considerable discount.  Only one set is allowed for each military member and helps us in many many ways by saving us a tremendous amount of money.  Please do not use such software if you are not Active duty as it will make it less of an option in the future if software designers are not reasonably certain their software isn't falling into the wrong hands.  Allow designers and developers to keep producing reduced cost versions for those of us defending our nation, and not the pirates and second-hand buyers.

    Thank you all,

    Semper Fortis.
