GenuineCheck Windows Validation Tool No Longer Supported? RRS feed

    I'd just like to add myself to the list of people currently unable to install software that relies on this tool. Have tried IE32 (I run Win XP Pro 32) as default browser with default options (this is a fresh XP install and IE has not been touched) to no avail. Passed with 100% validation on the Microsoft site. I am a photographer and trying to install the Raw File Viewer / Thumbnailer:

    I was able to update my system with standard updates through windows update, but cannot download this particular tool because the "Genuine Check" tool is "no longer supported." Cannot figure out how to get at the raw viewer through the OS Windows Update (under "help and support" on the start menu). No one seems to have an answer, so I am simply here to add my name to the list and maybe they will release something to fix the problem.
