Computer Shuts Down during Virus Scan

  I just downloaded One Care.  I previously had Norton on and uninstalled it.  When I tried to run a scan the computer shut down.  I did notice that Norton did not completely uninstall.  So I went to their site and downloaded the uninstall utility.

   

  I then tried to run the One Care virus scan, and when the computer gets to a certain point in the scan it shuts down.

   

  What would cause this?
