  • Question

  • I have had 2.0 beta for about a month, I would guess, on x-64 Vista.  I still cannot tell if it is actually working, and the only screen available wants me to activate it and says the status is unknown.

  • I would suggest uninstalling it and reinstalling it if it is prompting you for activation. Check you PC date and time before reinstalling. You should be able to open OneCare and change settings, run a backup, run a tune-up and a host of other items.

  • One other thing to try...you should notice a link that is greyed out in the main menu bar on the left. It says "monthly report."  Once you've had OneCare installed for 10 to 15 days you should see it become clickable. It will provide you with a summary of the acitivities that OneCare is running, so for example if you have set OneCare to run backups it will give you the date of your last backup, or the date of your last tune or even the number of viruses that have been stopped. Even without activation though you should be able to see your onecare status, is the icon in the system tray green, yellow or red?
