  • Today I recived a error message saying activation is needed (w7 Ultimate). Went and clicked, can not get it to activate, went to call choice, errors come up closing program. 

    >>>> What is Microsoft activation phone number please? 

    FYI I have not changed or replaced anything and bought this software back in may 2012.  HELP" it says I have 3 days...  I also noticed that W7 media center is having guide update problems today 030515.. Dont know if related, first, media center guide problem THAN activation problem... Go Figure...

  • I found MS contact "we will call you" entry under support and MS tech called and fixed problem.  

    About 40 minutes to fix, he had to log in to my PC, than into registry (made some changes with no effect) and in the end, had to replace MS Key.  Great job/Great service

  • To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool

    (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )

     Once saved, run the tool.

    Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.

     To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.

    Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!
