  • Asuming you have a monitor and keyboard attched to your server:
    Restart the server and press F8, just after BIOS initialisation.
    Then select "Safe mode" from the menu selected. When prompted, you need to log-in as Administrator.

    Hello Kennet,

    Please explain Ït does not work"?

    Did you try uninstalling Avast through the by going to the WHS Desktop and run Add/remove Programs form the Control Pannel?
    If This fails:

    * If your WHS server headless (no keyboard/monitor) - Try stopping all "Avast!***" services first:
       Start menu->Run
       Type "services.msc""<enter>
       Select the service from the list, right-click "Properties", select "Stop"
    Now try to uninstall Avast form the Add/remove Programs options in the Control Pannel

    * If your system has keyboard + monitor: restart the server in "Safe Mode"
    When in Safe mode: uninstall Avast form the Add/remove Programs options in the Control Pannel.
