Firewall and Antivirus

Question
-
I've used OneCare for several years on my home computers and I just noticed that one of the computers has started to shut off the firewall and antivirus daily. I'm able to start the firewall and the windows defender is able to be clicked on. However, after an hour or so, the firewall and defender are clicked off again and thus, must be started again.
As I said, I haven't had this issue before so I was wondering how the problem could be solved.Sunday, July 19, 2009 6:15 PM

I suggest contacting support as this may indicate that the PC has developed an infection.
If you are using Windows Live OneCare and you have been infected, but OneCare did not detect or cannot remove the malware, please contact support to report this and for help with removal.

On second thought, you may want to look at the answer in this thread:

If you are turning on the Windows Firewall and Defender on that machine, that;s not good. OneCare will turn both off. I suspect that you are running Vista SP1 on that machine and the Windows Security Center is alerting you, not OneCare. If OneCare is in green status, then this is the problem.
If, however, OneCare is in yellow or red status, and you are turning on protection from within OneCare, then contact support per the other reply.
