Project Workspace Views RRS feed

  • Question

  • Currently, the options for project workspace views on the PWA site are All workspaces or Owned workspaces.  Our project managers want the option to view only their current or closed workspaces in addition to all workspaces or only their owned workspaces.  This is a web part but our SharePoint administrators cannot find a way to add more views of the workspaces.  Can we do this?

  • Hello Mr. Nichols

There isn't a way to do this using out-of-box functionality.  However, here are some other options.

    1) Delete completed projects and project workspaces so they are not listed.

    2) Create a new web part that lists workspaces.  Add a custom field and use it as a flag to determine if it is viewed or not.  I have a flag called "IsComplete" and if is is TRUE, I exclude those projects from reports.

    Cheers!

  • Sujit,

Sorry, I have not been clear.  Yes, own does indicate ownership, but not if the project is active or closed (local custom values).  we have added these custom values.

    thanks, Mike
