Scenario:
I work my way through the main (SP) forums and see there a message with a spelling mistake in the title which I open and read the short contents of.
Having finished all the main forums I then check for new posts using "My Forum Threads". Here I see that same post again with the identical spelling mistake in the title; same poster and same content and delete it as a duplicate.
I then check that user's posts and find only this ONE same copy listed there. I then check the two forums where I thought I had seen it some 30 mins only and they had no copy.
In other words the copy I deleted was the copy I had already seen and read when going through the specific forums. Why then was it being shown to me in the My Forums Threads list as Unread (Bold) ?

P.S. I've now gone back to it and undeleted it. But we need to be able to trust the read / not read markings !
