Becoming MCITP - Dynamics GP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have just passed the MCTS for Dynamics GP (MB3-859). I want to become MCITP either in 'Installation & Configuration for Dynamics GP' or  'Applications for Dynamics GP'. However, in following link i observed that the required element for certification in these areas is GP 10.0 whereas my focus is GP 2010.

    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/dynamics.aspx#tab3

Is there any difference of certification between these two versions or i should continue with GP 2010 Exams to achieve my goal.

    Looking for advice.

    Best Regards.

  • Yes there is a difference between the two products and at this stage you cannot get MCITP in Dynamics GP 2010

  • Thanks Mr. Wharty.

Yes products are difference but what about certification path.

I have defined my path for MCITP (Applications for Microsoft Dynamics GP) is as follows:

MB3-859 Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 Financials
MB3-860 Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 Project Series
MB3-861 Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 Installation & Configuration
MB3-862 Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 Inventory & Order Processing

Please advice me, if i am on wrong track.

    Regards.

  • As previously advised, there is no MCITP Applications for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 therefore no path has been defined and it's impossible for me to state whether the path you have outlined will be the same path used when the MCITP Applications for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 certification is released.

I am also unable to establish if and when the MCITP Applications for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 will become available.
