It freezes on the second or third item if it does not lock up before hand (i have defaulted and tryed various settings in IE) also auto update around 3/4 the way through installing KB905474 freezes then locks up the pc

I have done some futher investigations and it seems that the is an issue with the KB905474 and windows installer 3.1 (windows installer seems to be causing problems with my canon camera aswell)

looking through microsofts help and support pages this seem a very common problem and it seem microsoft have rolled out yet another patch without fully testing it first as per usual

I have tryed many work arounds to resolve the problem but none have worked as i understand the previous versions of wga have had various probs that were solved with mgadiag2  is it just a case of waiting for microsoft to develop a fix  for wga???

  • come on microsoft this is a very common problem is there a fix for this update yet ??

theres 1000's if not more with this problem. microsoft have all its users over a barrel and thay know 80% of there users rely on windows and will not go over to other platforms
