Can I install MS Project Server 2007 on Windows2008 and SQL Server 2008? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have not found this answer in the postings. I want to install MS Project Server 2007 using Windows2008 and SQL Server 2008 on 64-bit hw. What is different about this versus using Win2003 and SQL2005? Is the installation process the same? Is there any TechNet content that discusses a medium farm installation scenario (1 SQL server, 1 Web Front end server, 1 app server)? Are there benefits aside from SQL reports? Is administration of the system harder than using Win2003 and SQL2005? I can administer and install using the older Win2003and SQL2005, so I have experience but would like to know what can of worms I am opening before I propose this for a new MOPS system.

    Thank you!
