Remote Access Logon Password Help

Question
-
I just got my windows home server and set up remote access. Everything thing seems to appear okay on the server. When I am on a different network (such as school & work) I go to my domain and I get the Windows Home Server screen with the username and password. When I type in my username (Windows Live ID) and password always come back saying I entered the wrong username and password. I am using gmail as part of my Windows Live Id. I had to use my Windows Live Id to log into this forum so my Windows Live ID (even though gmail) is valid. Only when I am trying to access my server via remote access does it not work. Anybody have any clue what might be going on here.
*Note: My password for Windows Live ID is different then what I set up to console in at home to my server. (If that makes a difference)
Thanks

You have to create a user on your server, then assign that user a strong password and remote access rights on your server, before you can log in remotely. Just having a Windows Live ID doesn't help.

I can access my domain just fine. When I try to logon I put in my Windows Live ID (is actually a gmail email) and it comes back saying my username and password is incorrect. I obviously have to be logged in with my Windows Live account to comment on this thread so my Windows Live ID is working fine. I am not sure if I am even suppose to use my Windows Live ID, I just assumed such when I set up the remote access that is what I gave them.
Any ideas?Thanks
