Advanced Find - Many to Many Relationship RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

Was wondering how it is possible to construct anadvanced find that operates via a many to many custom relationship, showing all records from one entity and all records from the other?

    Cheers

  • This is one of the downsides of Advanced Find, you cannot create many to many relationship. Create a report is the only solution (out of the box). Alternatively you can code your solution, and put it in an IFrame.

  • Hi, Josh.

It seems that this is impossible. You can use 2 approaches to retrieve data in this way:

    1. Create Public View, make export of customizations, edit customization XML - fetch statement of view and import back this customizations. Unsupported but it will work.

    2. Create a report using Reporting Services.
