Basically I attempted to boost performance by disabling what I had thought were unused services to improve startup time and 3D creation and game software I commonly run without a hitch. Well I caused a hitch, after tweaking the services list and rebooting with what I had hoped would be improved settings it eventually became a validation nightmare. I have had issues I resolved with restore points and thankfully overcame the "blue screen of death" and other minor problems, this seemingly easy to fix issue has proven to get the best of me. I had read I have 30 days to revalidate my copy before Windows degrades itself for lack of a better term. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The actual question is after my mistake of disabling services how can I return my system back to normal?
Do I have to uninstall the new hardware since my copy was activated by the manufacturer and is above the original configuration?
Lastly is their any solid advice as to which services are completely safe to disable on, like Smart Card services since my PC has no supporting hardware for one?
I have recently lost internet connection, installed a new video card and 2GB of RAM on top of the 2GB installed originally but once my internet connection was restored Windows Update was running without the error code 80070426, and Software Licensing services had never shown the error code 34 when attempting to run as a command prompt and starting the service leads to another error. All dependencies are running fine, namely RPC, DCOM, and one more I believe, but my system properties and when running the validation tool both show my copy as ingenuine and I have lost my desktop background to the reminder screen notifying me at each startup now, and hope for a response before the degrading process begins, also would I be able to install the upgrade package of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit edition even though it shows my copy as invalid? If I must I will, but I can't at the moment anyway, just curious. Thanks to anyone who actually reads this whole mess, more power to you, it's must be real fun, lol.
