  • Hi,

First of all, why are you leaving Dynamics CRM? :p).

Secondly, maybe it would be useful if you post the question on the other CRM product forum.

In third place, at the end of the day, I guess you may need to export current MS CRM data and import it on the other system.

Depending on the volume of records you may want to use SSIS (or other ETL product) against Dynamics CRM SQL filtered views and/or this tool and/or write custom code using Dynamics CRM SDK.

    Hope this help,

    PP

  • Hi,

    For data migration,

Export data to CSV or Excel file  from CRM  so that you can use this file to import on any System.

    thx

  • Well, much much better so!! :).

In that case you will need to export your data from the other systems so as to get .CSVs.

Then, I recommend you use DMM (Data Migration Manager) tool to import and map the data. This tool comes out-of-the-box with Dynamics CRM.

You can also use Import Wizard from the web interface in CRM but this is pretty limited compared to the former because you can import only one file at a time and cannot keep ownership of records (from your other system).

I strongly recommend you first deeply analyze your source data and make some mapping table (i.e. in excel) so as to be clear the destination of the data. Some cases you may need to populate picklists (so will need to make picklist mappings) , in other cases you may need to create and populate new entities, for instance, and also relate them to the imported data.

You definetely will need to make some POCs (proof of concepts) with small amount of records and design a plan on how to import all the data.

I have some experiences on data import, feel free to ask if need any help.

    Good luck!
