  • MS' instructions on submitting a diagnostic report. Copy and pasted, it says Vista but the procedure is identical in Windows 7

Diagnostic Report Required to Troubleshoot Issue

In order to receive the best support, we request all users initially download and run the Genuine Diagnostics tool (MGADiag.exe) at this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012. Click "Continue", click the "Copy" button then “Paste” the report into a reply message in this thread.

If you do not have access to the Start Button:

    1) Login to Vista and click the option that brings up Internet Explorer.

    2) Type: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 into the browser address bar.

    3) A window will come up asking if you want to “Run” or “Save”, Select “Run”.

    4) When the program runs, click the “Continue” button, then click the “Copy” button.

    5) Paste Report into your newly created forum thread.

  • Without telling us the make and model of the computer and what OS it came with there is little we can suggest.  If nobody has disturbed the recovery partition then you should be able to recover to factory condition by pressing some key or pair of keys as the computer starts up.  Why don't you share a little more about your computer?

Please repost your problem with details in a NEW thread of your own, to avoid confusion.
We need to know the manufacturer of your computer, and what type of Windows license you purchased.
A quick look a the report shows that you have an OEM_SLP license on a Retail motherboard with a forged SLIC table – which is not legal
