Better Opera and IE 8 support

Question
-
The post editor doesn't work in Opera 10 beta 2 here. I can't press any buttons, even "Submit". IE 8 is better (I can type a formatted text and submit it to the forum), but when I try edit already posted message, I get just empty white space in post editor... As result I forced to use Firefox to post here...

Yes, Firefox is the only browser that works here with relatively few problems. Opera has never been supported, given its market share it probably is its burden to become more compatible. IE has never not been a problem, the specific issue you mention has been worked on for the past month or so but, apparently, is still not completely resolved. There are many other problems, related to using the toolbar controls and posting code. It's been that way for the past three years, IE just puts up a formidable challenge to creating an editor that produces HTML that isn't likely to disappear until the forums team gives up on using HTML. Firefox is otherwise a very good browser.

It sounds like a some kind of software racism... There are russian forums and I'm sure Microsoft heard about Opera Browser marketshare in Russia and CIS . Why users should be affected by Microsoft vs Opera Software legal fights?
Hans Passant.
If there are no plans to support HTML post editor for Opera, please make just a some basic version for it.

If it's any consolation there are problems with IE6 too.
It's also no help to you but I don't have any problems with Safari on the Mac either.

Just thought I would post my experiences.
IE fails to work properly on MSDN at all from here. We are mandated to use Windows XP and the supported company browser is IE 7. I am using IE 8 for most things Microsoft and all of our internal pages but Chrome works for me here.
I am sure the irony is not lost on anyone.
So will IE on Windows 8 preview work here? Any one?
Probably not but we will try that later today I hope.
