A couple of weeks ago I downloaded some astronomy software, installed it and didn't pay too much attention after that. Days later Aero is gone and I have a message that my Windows Vista is not valid.
True, I didn't pay for it, MS sent this to me for watching a couple of web casts. But I was told, on the website, it was a completly usable and regular copy of 32bit Windows Vista, no expiriation etc. Is that true? Assume MS is not lying, then I'll have to guess that the software I downloaded has done something to the user licensing. How can I fix this? Right now my PC doesn't even logon to the desktop. I get a black screen and an error message saying errcode 0x80070426....
How do I fix this?
