Does anyone know what is the compression technique used in OCS 2007 RRS feed

  • Do you mean which codec is used?

    RT-Audio/Video is used and this is a very elastic codec

  • I think he is asking about the Server-to-Server and Client-to-Server Compression settings seen in both the Front End pool and Edge server properties.  It's covered on page 33 of the OCS Admin Guide.  This is not related to any codecs as most audio/video content is client-to-client (except for multi-party conferencing which is client to MCU server to client).

    I've never found any details of the compression type used, but it's negotiated between parties on TLS over TCP connections and is all automatically performed by the clients and server.
