HOME SERVER AND WIN 7 COMPATABILITY QUESTION RRS feed

  • Question

  • Based on other posts, it looks like WIN7 will work OK and 'play nice' on a HOME SERVER network.  I just wanted to verify that this assumption is correct.

My current network consists of VISTA ULTIMATE, XP PRO (will upgrade both to WIN 7 PRO, 64 bit), and HOME SERVER.

  • You might want to look through this forum search, which will probably be helpful. There are some known issues; one would assume that Microsoft will correct them as soon as possible, hopefully at around the same time as the release of Windows 7 later this year.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)

Just so you're not under any disillusionments...both of your client upgrade situations require a clean install. In-place upgrade will not be possible.

Clean install is probably what you intend anyway, but I just wanted to make sure you weren't thinking otherwise.
