Why don't we automatically modify the Announcement's date time to the latest one?

    Question

  • Hello:

I'm a Chinese moderator of MSDN. And I find an intersting thing:

It seems that if someone changes the post, the latest date time will be remembered and automatically updated.

However, for the announcement, it doesn't do that.

        e.g:

I changed the announcement on 21th, Sep. 2016. But the time is still 2012……

    Why?

And what's more——I suggest Microsoft should add "History" for a post to record how many people changed a certain post:

    e.g:

    1) For 1st time. Someone created a post, his/her record is:  XXX Created By……

    2) For 2nd, 3rd, 4th……. The same person modifies the post, his/her post is: XXX Modified By……On xx:yy:zz, 2016……ect.

    3) For a moderator who can change all the posts belonging to the certain forum place. We must also record this as what we see in 2.
