Publish/Deploy web application to CRM Server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have been developing a web application consisting of one page that will get data to create a lead in CRM.  I am developing on my own machine not the CRM server and this is not a customization that will be accessed from within CRM it should be treated as a stand alone application.  I am user web service calls to create the lead and it works.  I have my web service urls set to dynamic so they appear in the web.config for easy configuration

I now need to to deploy/publish my application to the CRM server.  I was looking for advice on how best to do this to avoid impacting the CRM application itself.

    Specifically:

    1.  I want this to run a separate web application so i need to create new virtual directory/web site through IIS on CRM Server, correct?
    2.  There seems to be two IP address settings when creating web site through IIS..one is the ip address from the CRM application sp i assume i do not want to use this one
    3.  Should my web application run in a separate application pool from CRM?
    4. Will i need to update my web service references?

Thanks in advance for any help.
