  • This new style bring a lot of difficults for users and for who one help too. It's hard to see a proposed answer, new topics in the thread overview are not bolded anymore, which was much better to see, bold and italic formatted text is only displayed correctly while editting a message but not after submitting. And some others, i praying to some option to choose which style we want for forum.

  • Yup, because it tells at the very bottom of each post if it had been proposed, edited or marked as answer.

  • Of course you could highlight it better than it is right now. But it is ok.

Hm i see. Now posts that you already see are identical to the posts that you never see(old are bold). You can write one post or reply and put your words as italic, underline, or bold, but when you submit it doesnt work. Its extremely HARD to see which post are marked as answer or not, even the proposed answer is hard to see( i disagree with you in this topic). Have to much space in screen without any usage. Until now i don't see any benefit that this new style bring. I prefer the old and 'ugly' style, instead this new.

  • Try finding which posts have been "proposed as answer", & which posts, if any, have been "marked as answer", in any reasonably long thread. It used to be *immediately* obvious, now you have to really go looking, because everything's been "blandished". Hmm, "blandish" came form a TV show, where a lady called Betty wanted to weed out all the people of a bunch of parallel universes who were what she called "abhorrents" (different), & "blandish" them (make them the same), I wonder if that's where MS got the idea from, lol. I certainly feel that either myself, or the people responsible for this "new style" live in a parallel universe.

  • I agree completely

If you want something you've never had, you need to do something you've never done.

  • Interestingly, I had not noticed this development because I make almost all my posts via the NNTP bridge, and then follow the threads in "My Threads", which has not succumbed to the new look.

But, I agree, the new look is a big step backward.

But, since "Propose as Answer" has now become almost invisible, this might be a good opportunity to get rid of it once and for all...

  • Ah, that's why I think the "new" look is ok. Looks like I'm not using the "new" look.
