CRM 2011 - How to Default the Customer When Converting a Task to an Opportunity RRS feed

  • On our system when we convert a Task to an Opportunity the Customer is not being defaulted.  If we convert an email to an Opportunity the customer does get defaulted.

    Original task has the same "regarding" as the task.  I tried this both an Account and a Contact.

    Does anyone know if this is a system setting?  if not, do you think we could write a plugin we would be able to control the defaulting behavior?
