WGA pop up on VLK RRS feed

  • Question

  •

My institute has more than 3000 PCs and using VLK. But 3 of them pop up WGA "You may be a victim of software counterfeiting. This copy of Windows is not genuine and is not eligible to receive all updates and product support from Microsoft..." since 23Jan08. We have no idea why only 3 PC pop up WGA, and the others havn't get the problem.

  • Hello Philip,

Since you changed the date to the past the WGA check realizes this and sees this as an error since the time is not in sync.  Please update the date/time to the correct information and this will resolve this specific issue.  Please rerun the MGA diagnostics on the other machines which are failing validation and I will be able to provide you with further insight to this issue.

    Thank you,

  • Hello Philip,

The machine which you ran this diagnostic test on is showing as genuine.  Is this the machine that is having issues validating?  If not please rerun the MGA diagnostic tool on the machines that are having issues and post the results here, this will allow us to determine the issue you are having when you attempt to validate.

    Thank you,
